It’s official! I’m going to AWS re:Invent 2018. 🙌
My goal from this trip is to learn, learn, learn… and then share, share, share. There are over 30 sessions that talk about serverless, plus 40,000 other people there to meet and learn from! I’m so excited. 🙃
I know that many of you will be there, but for those of you who can’t be, I’ll do my best to share insights, tips, how-tos, best practices and more. I’ll even have a drink for you if you’d like 🍺 (no arm twisting necessary)!
If you ARE going to re:Invent…
Meet up with me!
I’m staying at the MGM Grand, but will be all over the strip for different activities and such. I’m flying in from Boston on Saturday night, so I’ll be around all day Sunday as well as the rest of the week. I’d love to meet up with you and grab a drink. Maybe we can coordinate a #serverless dinner one night. Ping me on Twitter, LinkedIn, or email me at email@example.com and let’s set something up.
Share your session plans with me!
I’ve been pouring through the Session Catalog and the list of possible talks to attend is overwhelming. I’m going to spend some more time planning out my schedule once they release the dates/times, but if you’ve discovered a really interesting session, please send it my way!
If you are NOT going to re:Invent…
Tell me what you want to learn more about!
Like I said, I’m super excited about all the serverless talks, but I still do a lot of work with RDS, Elasticsearch, Machine Learning, Elasticache, NLP, Redshift, EC2, S3, containers, and more. If there is a particular topic/talk that you’d like to know more about, let me know. I’ll do my best to attend it for you and write up the key takeaways.
How do you want me to share?
I’m sure I’ll have 1,000 blog posts to write after re:Invent, but what else would you like me to share while I’m there? They’ll be a ton of live tweeting going on I’m sure, but let me know what else you’d like to see. Photos, videos, audio, live streams, drink menus? Live vicariously through me. 😂
I’m going to keep this post updated with my plans as things continue to develop. Check back for updates.
